A practical guide to Facebook
A practical guide to Facebook Page posts, link previews, photos, video and Reels: formats and what performs. Scheduling Facebook from our calendar is coming soon, once Meta's app review passes.
Page posts, links and video that earn reach
The formats Facebook expects, and what each is good for. Publishing to Facebook from Social Media Digital Marketer is coming soon, once the platform's app review passes.
- Text and photo: 1200×630 for links, 1200×1200 square photos. Native photos still out-reach bare link posts.
- Link post: Facebook pulls a preview card from the URL; write a compelling lead-in above it rather than relying on the title.
- Video: Square (1:1) and vertical work in feed; captions are essential for silent autoplay.
Plan a week of Facebook on one calendar
Once Facebook is live, its posts sit on the same calendar as every other account. Today you can schedule Bluesky, Mastodon, LinkedIn, Reddit, Telegram and Discord there.
- A visual calendar and queue for the whole week
- Schedule for an exact time or add posts to the queue
- One place for every account, not a tab per platform

Questions about Facebook
Can I auto-publish to Facebook?
Not yet. Facebook publishing is coming soon and arrives once the platform's app review passes. Until then, connect the networks that are live today and plan Facebook alongside them.
What happens if a Facebook post fails?
The publisher retries with backoff. If the platform still rejects it, the post stays on your calendar in red with the reason, you get a failure alert, and one click retries it. It never disappears silently.
Do I still approve every post?
If your workspace uses approvals, yes. Posts wait for a person to approve them, in the app or through an approval link, and you can approve a whole week at once.
